A gathering of kindred souls to sing, pray and share in a communion service – an open table for everyone - home dwellers, street dwellers, churched and seekers, visitors, young and older who will find community on the South Street Green, corner of Ocean and South St., Hyannis, every Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock.

Bereavement Care Group

There is a Bereavement Care Group starting January 28 at Cape Cod Hospital. This group is meant to offer comfort, support, and pastoral care to those with issues of grief. Four Saturday sessions are offered in the Winter and Fall that will provide an opportunity for individuals to gather with others, to share stories, to learn and to support one another. The dates are January 28th, February 11th and 25th, and March 10th. Meeting times will be from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM on 2nd Floor / Martins Conference Room at the hospital. Church Women United of Cape Cod Human Rights Celebration
will be held on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Parish, 230 S. Main St., Centerville. Registration is $10. and includes brunch.

CWU Human Rights Celebration is an annual event that unites women and men of all faiths in a common worship experience held to honor individuals who have worked in the cause of Human Rights. 2012 honorees are Ilene Bendas, Dolores and Joseph DaLuz and Brenda Swain. Act Locally, THINK Globally”

The Zumbathon Theme is "Act Locally, THINK Globally”. A percent of the funds will be donated to A Baby Center of Cape Cod, the majority of the funds will go to the orphanage in Peru Casa Hogar San Judas Chico.

Sturgis Charter Public School is dedicated to an "International Baccalaureate (IB) for All" philosophy, preparing high school students for higher education in a supportive learning environment. Sturgis provides each student a rigorous world-class educational program, encouraging academic achievement, intellectual confidence, and personal growth.

A key component of Sturgis is Community Service. During the winter school break a number of Sturgis students and educators will travel to Peru to work at an orphanage.

Friday, February 17
"SHELTER FROM THE STORM" CONCERT at CC COMMUNITY COLLEGE

The best student artists from across Cape Cod will perform in concert February 17th, at CCCCollege’s Tilden Auditorium, at 7:00. They’ll be raising money for The Vietnam Outreach Center in Hyannis and the Duffy Medical Center, who provide counseling and medical services.

On-Call Pastors needed at CCH

“On-Call” Pastors are needed at the Pastoral Care Dept of Cape Cod Hospital, between the hours of 3 p.m. and 7 a.m. When the on-call team is up to full strength, each person would be available for one night every two weeks. "ON GOOD FAITH TV SHOW"

A monthly TV program produced by the Council of Churches and airs on the Cape Cod Community Media Center station, Channel 17. The program is hosted by Jonathan Ahnquist, pastor of the First Lutheran Church of West Barnstable. Featured guests include religious and community leaders, as well as participants in health and human services organizations. The program provides information on a wide range of topics. "ON GOOD FAITH" airs Tuesdays at 11:30am and Fridays at 7:30pm.
