VOLUNTEERS

The Cape Cod Council of Churches relies on the support of its staff, contributors, and volunteers. Find out how you can help!

Pastoral Care Volunteers Needed at Cape Cod Hospital

Do you know of anyone who is interested in becoming a Pastoral Care Volunteer? As a trained Pastoral Care Volunteer you will visit first day patients of all faiths; provide a "listening presence" and respect patient confidentiality. So many people are grateful to have someone stop in and talk with them!
Please email Reverend Richard Vought at rcvought@capecodhealthcare.org or call 774-722-0441 for more information.

Catholic volunteers may contact Katherine Sullivan at the Hospital: KLSullivan@CapeCodHealth.org.

For More Information: Deborah Darling - Manager of volunteer services 508-862-5292

Binkie Patrol
Debby Dorison, a teacher at Harwich Middle School, is interested in offering the “Binkie Patrol” project to students at the school.  The project will teach students how to make fleece baby blankets.  The blankets will be distributed to appropriate programs across the Cape, including A Baby Center, Cape Cod and Falmouth Hospital Maternity Departments and other organizations working on behalf of infants and toddlers. Larger size blankets would be gratefully received by older children who are in foster care, and distributed to them when they are removed from their home.  Donations of yardages of child appropriate fleece will be gratefully received for this project. Please contact Debby at 508 430 7217, or email: ddorison@harwich.edu.
